안동 봉정사와 영산암의 소나무, 경북 안동시 서후면

안동 봉정사와 영산암의 소나무, 경북 안동시 서후면 나그네의 안동 구석구석 여행 봉정사(鳳停寺) 천등산 (天燈山) 남쪽 기슭에 자리한 이 사찰(寺刹)은 신라 문무왕(文武I) 12년(672) 의상대사(義湘大師)가 부석사에서 날린 종이 봉이 이 곳에 내려 앉아 절을 창건하였다고 전한다. 극락전에서 발견된 상량문에 의하면 의상대사의 제자인 능인대덕(能仁大德)이 창건(創建) 한 후 조선시대까지 여러 차례 중수하여 왔다고 한다. 본사(本寺)에 10동(棟), 동·서 2개의 암자에 9동(棟) 등 총 건평 500여평이나 되는 안동에서 제일 큰 고찰(古利)이다. 사찰 경내에는 1972년 해체보수 때 발견된 상량문에 고려 공민왕 12년 (1363)에 중수하였다는 기록이 있어 우리나라에서 가장 오래된 목조 건물로 확인된 극락전(樂殿, 국보 제15호), 조선시대에 건립된 대웅전(大雄殿, 국보 제311호 , 화엄강당(華麗堂, 보물 제448호), 고금당(古今堂, 보물 제449호) 등의 건물들이 있는데, 고려시대의 건물과 조선시대의 목조건물들이 나란히 있어 우리나라 건축연구에 큰 자료가 되고 있다. 이 외에도 극락전 앞에는 고려시대에 건립한 삼층석탑(三層石塔)이 있고 만세루, 요사채 등의 건물이 있으며 부속 암자로는 영산암(靈山産), 지조암 (知照)이 있다. Bongjeong-sa This temple is located on the southern foot of Cheondeung Mountain. According to the memorial writing for the construction found in Geungnakjeon, Neingindaedeok, one of the Eusangdaesa's students, built this temple and it had been renovated many times until the Joseon Dynasty. There are 10 buildings in the main temple. There are two small annexed temples to the east and west with 9 buildings total. The area is about 500 pyeong (1,650 m) and this is the biggest old temple in the Andong area. The oldest wooden building in Korea is Geungnakjeon National Treasure No.15). The verification for the wooden structure came from a written memorial record found in 1972 when there was a project to dismantle and renovate these structures. The writing said that it was renovated in 1363, the twelfth year of Goryeo King Gongminwang. The Daeungjeon was built during the Joseon Dynasty national treasure 311 In addition, the Whaeom Hall (Treasure No.448), the Gogeumdang (Treasure NO.449), and others were found in this lot. The wooden buildings built in the Goryeo Dynasty and the Joseon Dynasty exist together so they offer valuable insights to the study of Korean architecture. In addition to those buildings, there are three-story stone pagoda built in the Goryeo Dynasty, the Manseru, Yosache and on her buildings in this lot.
